Cinnamon For Diabetes

Think cinnamon is just for that extra flavor?  Think again.

CINNAMON is known to help in preventing and fighting diabetes.

According to research, cinnamon might be acting as an insulin substitute in type 2 diabetes. Cinnamon contains a bioactive component that scientists believed has the potential to either prevent or overcome diabetes.

Some experts found the compound called proanthocyanidin could alter the activity of insulin signaling in fat cells.

In some studies it has been shown to decrease blood glucose, triglycerides, LDL and cholesterol levels (This being after considerable daily doses for over a month period)

HOW TO:

- sprinkle cinnamon powder on foods (ie. fruit bowl & cinnamon)
- use it as a lollipop (have a cinnamon stick and just nibble on it.. other benefits of this could be cleaning teeth)
- make a tea (stick a cinnamon stick in hot water & drink up)
- enjoy all those sweets that have cinnamon. (pumpkin pie, moughli etc)
